Dixton is a hamlet on the western slopes of Dixton Hill, standing at the heart of the estate. In a private and peaceful setting Dixton Manor boasts exceptional views over open farmland towards Cheltenham and the Welsh Hills beyond.

The Regency spa town of Cheltenham hosts nationally recognised classical music, jazz and literary festivals and is the home of National Hunt racing. Schools include the renowned Cheltenham Colleges and Dean Close, and the town offers theatres, fine restaurants and excellent shopping.

The sporting attractions of the area are unparalleled with National Hunt racing at Cheltenham and Worcester, riding with the Cotswold Hunts, and polo at Cirencester Park and Westonbirt. One of the finest shoots in the country is at Dumbleton (8 miles), and the Cotswolds and the Vale countryside tempts with beautiful walks and hacking. There are premiership rugby clubs at Gloucester and Worcester and golf courses at Broadway, Tewkesbury and Cleeve Hill.

From London the journey via the M40(Junction 8) and the A40 bypassing Oxford to Burford and Stow on the Wold can be completed in 2 hours. Alternatively, the M4 to Junction 15 thereafter following the A417/419 provides a fast road link. The M5 gives access to Bristol and the West country, Birmingham and the North. The mainline railway stations at Kingham, Evesham and Cheltenham provide regular services to London Paddington from 85 minutes. There is a local airport at Staverton, Cheltenham and International airports at Birmingham and Bristol.
